Chapter 32

The Way is always nameless. The uncarved block, though small, no one in the world can make a servant.
If lords and kings could keep to it, the ten thousand things would come to them of themselves as guests.
Heaven and earth would join to send down sweet dew, and the people, with no one to command them, would share it evenly of themselves.
When shaping begins, there are names. Once there are names, one must know when to stop; knowing when to stop, one is out of danger.
The Way in the world is like the streams and valleys running into the rivers and the sea.
